1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the person, company or organisation booking or receiving the services.

Services means any removal, man and van, transport, loading, unloading, packing, storage, or associated services that we supply.

Goods means the items and property that we are asked to move, transport, handle, store or otherwise deal with.

Booking means an agreed service request made by the client and accepted by us, whether verbally, in writing or by electronic means.

2. Scope of Services

Our services include domestic and commercial removals, man and van services, collection and delivery, and related labour services within the United Kingdom. The specific scope of each job, including addresses, timings, vehicle size and number of staff, will be agreed at the time of booking.

Any additional services requested on the day of the job, such as extra stops, additional labour time or changes to the original specification, may be accommodated subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

3. Booking Process

3.1 You may request a quotation and make a booking by telephone or other communication methods we accept. Quotations are based on the information you provide and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

3.2 It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information, including but not limited to:

a. Collection and delivery addresses.

b. Access details, such as floor level, lifts, parking availability or restrictions.

c. The nature, quantity and approximate value of the goods.

d. Any items requiring special handling, dismantling or reassembly.

e. Any time constraints or building regulations that may affect the service.

3.3 We reserve the right to amend or withdraw a quotation if the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, or if circumstances change before or during the job.

3.4 A booking is only confirmed when we have explicitly accepted your request and, where required, any deposit or prepayment has been received.

4. Quotations and Prices

4.1 Unless stated otherwise, all quotations are estimates based on the information you provide. If the job takes longer or requires more resources than reasonably anticipated, additional charges may apply.

4.2 Our charges may be based on an hourly rate, a fixed price, or another agreed method. Travel time, congestion, parking, tolls and other related costs may be chargeable where applicable.

4.3 Quotations do not include insurance for goods in transit beyond the statutory minimum unless explicitly agreed in writing. You are responsible for arranging additional insurance cover if required.

4.4 We reserve the right to review our prices periodically and to adjust charges to reflect increased costs, changes in regulations or other relevant factors. Any change will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed, except where the job specification changes.

5. Payments and Charges

5.1 Payment terms will be agreed at the time of booking. We may require full or partial payment in advance, or payment upon completion of the service.

5.2 We accept payment methods that we specify from time to time. You are responsible for ensuring that payment can be made using the agreed method on the due date.

5.3 Where payment is due on completion of the job, it must be made immediately once the service has been provided. We reserve the right to withhold further services or delivery of goods until payment has been received in full.

5.4 If payment is not made when due, we may charge interest on late payments at the statutory rate until the outstanding amount is paid in full. You will also be responsible for any reasonable costs we incur in recovering overdue amounts.

5.5 All charges are exclusive of any applicable taxes or levies unless otherwise stated.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 You may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing us with reasonable notice.

6.2 We reserve the right to apply the following charges for cancellations or significant changes requested by you:

a. More than 48 hours before the scheduled start time: no cancellation fee, although any non-refundable third-party costs may still be chargeable.

b. Between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled start time: up to 50 percent of the quoted price may be charged.

c. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time or on the day of the job: up to 100 percent of the quoted price may be charged.

6.3 If we need to cancel or postpone your booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, vehicle breakdown, accidents, or staff illness, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and offer an alternative date or a refund of any prepayments. We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from such cancellation.

7. Client Responsibilities

7.1 You are responsible for:

a. Ensuring that goods are properly packed, secured and ready for transport, unless we have agreed to provide packing services.

b. Securing all valuables, personal documents, money, jewellery, and important items, which should not be included in the goods to be moved.

c. Arranging suitable parking or access for our vehicles and covering any parking fees or penalties that arise solely due to your failure to provide accurate information or necessary permissions.

d. Ensuring that the premises at both collection and delivery addresses are safe and accessible for our staff and vehicles.

e. Being present or appointing a representative to be present at collection and delivery to direct the work, sign any necessary documents and check that the service has been completed according to your instructions.

7.2 If we are unable to complete the job, or if extra time is required, due to issues with access, parking, inadequate packing, or your failure to be present, additional charges may apply.

8. Goods Not Accepted for Removal

8.1 Unless expressly agreed in writing, we will not transport, store, or handle any of the following items:

a. Hazardous, flammable, explosive or dangerous goods, including fuels, chemicals, aerosols, paints and gas bottles.

b. Perishable items, including food and plants, where they may be affected by transport or storage conditions.

c. Illegal goods, controlled substances or items obtained unlawfully.

d. Livestock, animals or any living creatures.

e. Items of exceptional value, such as high-value artwork, antiques, jewellery, precious metals, or collectibles, unless specifically declared and agreed in writing in advance.

8.2 If such items are included without our knowledge or consent, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, delay or legal consequences that arise.

9. Liability for Loss and Damage

9.1 We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services. However, our liability for loss or damage to goods or property is limited as set out in this clause.

9.2 Our total liability for loss of or damage to goods, whether arising from negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, shall not exceed a reasonable market value of the goods or a sum agreed in writing before the job, whichever is lower, subject always to any applicable statutory minimum protection.

9.3 We shall not be liable for:

a. Loss or damage arising from your failure to pack items adequately where we have not provided packing services.

b. Damage to furniture or other items that were already fragile, defective, improperly assembled or not in a suitable condition for transport.

c. Minor cosmetic damage including scratches or scuffs that are consistent with normal handling, where reasonable care has been taken.

d. Loss of or damage to items packed or loaded by you or another third party.

e. Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use or loss of opportunity.

9.4 We will not be liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, traffic congestion, accidents, road closures, public disturbances or other events classed as force majeure.

10. Claims and Complaints

10.1 You must inspect the goods and property as soon as reasonably possible upon completion of the service.

10.2 Any visible loss or damage should be reported to us on the day of the job where possible. In any event, you must notify us in writing of any claim or complaint within a reasonable time, and no later than seven days from the date of service completion.

10.3 You must provide evidence of any alleged loss or damage, including photographs, descriptions and valuations where available. We may inspect the goods and premises before accepting or rejecting any claim.

10.4 Failure to notify us within the stated time may affect our ability to investigate and may reduce or extinguish any potential liability, except where the law provides otherwise.

11. Waste and Disposal Regulations

11.1 We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations. We are not a general waste disposal company and will only remove waste or unwanted items where this has been agreed as part of the service.

11.2 You are responsible for declaring any items that you wish to be disposed of, and for ensuring that such items are lawful to dispose of. We reserve the right to refuse the removal of any items that we reasonably believe may be hazardous, illegal or not compliant with waste regulations.

11.3 Additional charges may apply for the removal and lawful disposal of bulky waste, electrical items, appliances or other regulated materials. These charges will be explained to you where relevant.

11.4 Fly tipping or unlawful disposal is strictly prohibited. We will dispose of any agreed waste only at authorised facilities and in line with relevant regulations. We accept no responsibility for any waste that you dispose of independently.

12. Access, Parking and Restrictions

12.1 You must inform us in advance of any parking restrictions, loading times, height limits or other access issues that may affect our vehicles or staff.

12.2 If our vehicle receives a parking ticket or penalty charge solely due to your failure to provide accurate information or appropriate permissions, you may be required to reimburse us for the full amount.

12.3 If access to the property is restricted or unsafe, we may refuse to carry out part or all of the job, or we may proceed only on your explicit instruction and at your risk, subject to any applicable health and safety obligations.

13. Delays and Waiting Time

13.1 You must ensure that the premises are ready for collection and delivery at the agreed times. If our staff or vehicles are required to wait due to your delay, additional waiting time charges may apply in accordance with our normal rates.

13.2 We will use reasonable endeavours to meet agreed arrival and completion times, but these are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for losses arising solely from delays, provided we have acted with reasonable care.

14. Insurance

14.1 We maintain appropriate business insurance and vehicle cover as required by law.

14.2 Unless explicitly agreed in writing, our charges do not include comprehensive insurance for your goods beyond any statutory minimum. You are strongly advised to arrange suitable insurance protection for your goods prior to the move, particularly for high-value items.

15. Data Protection and Privacy

15.1 We will collect and use your personal information only for the purposes of providing our services, managing bookings, processing payments and communicating with you.

15.2 We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure and will not sell or share your details with third parties except where required for the performance of the services, for legal reasons, or with your consent.

16. Termination

16.1 We may suspend or terminate a booking or ongoing service immediately if:

a. You materially breach these Terms and Conditions.

b. It is unsafe or unlawful for us to continue the work.

c. Our staff are subjected to abuse, harassment or threatening behaviour.

16.2 In the event of termination due to your breach, you may still be liable for our charges and any associated costs incurred up to the time of termination.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services provided, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the services we provide.

18. General Provisions

18.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.2 No waiver of any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by us. Failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

18.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the services and supersede any prior discussions or agreements, whether written or oral.

18.4 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
